Dmitri Vitaliev
Dmitri Vitaliev works at Front Line – an Irish based organisation that aims to defend people championing human rights in their country. Through teaching method of electronic security and digital privacy, I aim to help activists around the world protect themselves and their rights against unlawful surveillance and censorship. There are many aspects to privacy on the Internet and in the digital medium. Some of the topical issues include intellectual property, opensource software, privacy through anonymity. I think that technology leaders must understand the issues and problems faced by today’s user.

Fionnuala Conway
The Art of Decision is an interactive multimedia exhibition that encourages the individual to realize their significance in relation to political decision-making. The exhibition consists of a series of rooms that immerse visitors in situations that invite them to reconstruct their perception of political structures and political involvement. The project particularly addresses those who feel excluded from the political process. The Art of Decision is the result of an extensive body of research conducted at Trinity College, Dublin, by PhD researchers Fionnuala Conway and Jane Williams, under the supervision of Dr. Linda Doyle and Dr. Maryann Valiulis.

PROJECT DELTA
The Delta project is a game which has been created within a brand new custom-built game engine (programmed in C++, OpenGl and DirectX). The game is supported on most modern PCs with Windows XP and features a rich original 3D environment, sound effects, music and in-game effects (animated water, explosions etc.) Our game is playable with most USB game devices (joypads, joysticks, wireless controllers), supports 2 players simultaneously and can also be presented in stereoscopic 3D. The player must defend the population of Delta city from attack by controlling a ground-to-air missile launcher from the vantage point of a blimp hovering high above the city. The game took 3 months to complete and was submitted as our end of year project at Trinity College Dublin’s Master of Science in Multimedia Systems course, 2004-2005.
