Presenters: Karl Klomp [NL]<\/a><\/strong> is a media artist and video technician at Toneelgroep Amsterdam. His main work focusses on creating live video manipulation tools and glitch art. Since 2005 he\u2019s building numerous video hardware tools for his performance and for other artists. Together Toktek (Tom Verbruggen) they play there live cinema set where circuit bend video mixers and audio tools are co author of there minimal and raw unbridle performance. He often teams up with Gijs Gieskes to teach circuit bending to other artists and musicians.<\/p>\n

Paul Hegarty [IE]<\/a><\/strong> teaches philosophy and visual culture in the French department, University College Cork. He is the author of numeorus articles on noise music, and the book Noise\/Music (Continuum, 2007). He is currently working on Beyond and Before: Progressive Rock since 1960 (due out late 2010). He plays in the groups Safe and La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des Amis du Crime, runs the record label dotdotdotmusic, and helps organise Black Sun weirdo\/avant music nights with Vicky Langan.<\/p>\n

Kim Cascone [US]<\/a><\/strong> founded Silent Records in 1985, released more than forty albums of electronic music, has performed with Merzbow, Keith Rowe, Scanner, John Tilbury, Tony Conrad, Pauline Oliveros among others. Worked on David Lynch\u2019s \u2018Twin Peaks\u2019 and \u2018Wild at Heart\u2019 as Assistant Music Editor. Cascone is the founder of the .microsound list and has written numerous essays on post-digital music for academic journals and new media magazines.
